This is not the feminist story everyone claims it is. I didn’t connect to the main characters however I liked Linda and her story. She is a little annoying but I feel sorry for her and Krogstad are sweet in the story. Really this story is a story of the issues within marriage not gender roles being challenged particularly.

Quick read; ending was a little too over-the-top for me.

Even though I read this for school, I really enjoyed it, made me think and feel things. I know Ibsen didn’t necessarily intend this to be feminist but he delivered. The language and all the talk about love in a marriage and what women had to do to keep the man happy, just made me realise the real set up.

I really enjoyed this, I think I would genuinely adore it live. I don't have a huge amount to say about it as it's a short enough read and I feel like the story itself is pretty self evident? Most of my comments are like how much I like the single setting and the use of stage directions and all that stuff.
