Continues the story of Brody as he trains in the martial and supernatural arts with the samurai ghost Kagemura, and other ghosts. He learns how to sense a "death echo" from an object used by a dead person at the time of their death. Ends on cliffhanger!

Although Crilley's expressions need more variety, overall this was a much better volume than the first one. The artwork and pacing felt more consistent. In fact, there were very strong sequences in the gang fight, and the date at the end was a highlight for me. This story is shaping up nicely.

The story seems to have taken a turn to the left here, as we veered away from Talia's plot and moved into Brody's training. Much slower plot than the first, but good cliff-hanger at the end.

Brody's Ghost is a graphic novel series centered around a sad man named Brody who finds out he can see ghosts (hence the title...). After a bad breakup with his girlfriend, Nicole, he lets his life get into ruin, until one day, while he is on the sidewalk busking for change, he sees a ghost. Later on, he finds out the ghost is named Talia, and she has a mission for him. She introduces him to an unusual mentor that helps him get his life back into shape and gives him purpose in the world.

I read books 1-3, as that is all that's been published as of right now, and it was AMAZING! I couldn't put it down. The drawing style is quite good, and there are artist notes at the end of each volume that explain the thought behind many of the characters and locations in the book. The story ends on a cliffhanger at the end of each book, and I'm so mad I have to wait until at least March to find out what happens next!!

Getting more into the story & the reveal at the end was good! Stinks that I have to wait 4 months to read the next volume though!

Talia loses her shit and things pretty much go downhill from there. There are some bittersweet moments, but we're getting close to the end and the tension is definitely on high here.
