This is another fantastic instalment in this series. I particularly liked the male lead’s vulnerabilities. He showed just how much our social enculturation structures our beliefs and understandings. He was sweet and strong and so determined not to do the “wrong” thing towards the female lead. She was almost the inverse, raised in isolation to keep her safe from others, with no social expectations.

Their interactions were so cute and the misunderstandings, whilst predictable to a certain extent, were written engagingly and showed character and relationship development. The ongoing inclusion and interaction with couples/characters from previous books is another bonus, watching characters continue to grow together. This book was very emotionally engaging and I felt the emotions along with the characters.

This book was dual POV, well-written and edited, and a great piece of escapism from this year and its problems. I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for this voluntary review.

Again... I wasn't overly engaged with this one.

I just found the premise... odd? Two people who had grown up the way that they had... I just couldn't see them behaving like that.

I really really didn't like the earth slang... was just irritating after the first couple of times.

I did like the mani/pedi scene.
