The way Ted Chiang writes is fascinating, he choses a concept and takes it to an extreme conclusion. A lot of these stories are difficult to wrap your head but are worth reading simply for the experience. My favourite was Story of your life, the concept of a language affecting the way you perceive reality was fascinating.

Ted Chiang is a %*$#ing genius and an underrated national treasure. There was only one piece in this collection that I didn't madly fall in love with. Just the one. I'm off to find the rest of his bibliography!

like every comedy sketch show, not every short story in a collection can be a winner. "understand" and "division by zero" were a bit weak, but every other story was so good that i barely care.
