The story felt really unresolved, especially the relationship between Hannah and Gabby. A lot of the story felt brushed aside for the larger miracle of life, when I think there were valid arguments made that could’ve been explored more. Didn’t really like the husband’s plot line.. he just seemed a bit airheaded and useless. The art is lovely, though.

Very real. Good but felt like a short story rg character and plot development which isn't my taste.

I read this book in a single night. It’s very well done but CW it contains an alt-right toxic misogynist, which is hard for me personally to deal with reading about. Also some of the (lack of) communication in Hannah’s relationship with her husband made my skin crawl. I’m just so fucking tired of women doing the heavy lifting in relationships.

I had already read the first three chapters online through Eleanor’s fundraiser, so I got to enjoy finishing this one while I was at work. The story goes to some surprising places, and Eleanor’s linework is as lyrical as always. I’d love to see more from these characters (Gabby, what’s up with you?). I’m already planning on re-reading this one.

Really quite good until the end, which felt very rushed and abrupt and did not inspire hope or positive feelings in me as I assume it was trying to do. I found it more troubling that Not very hopeful for the future at all.

I really enjoyed this story of activist life. Relationships, friendships and struggles but all done on a lovely small and intimate scale.
