For a book that spent its entirety trying to convince us that the MMC wasn’t the asshole he was made out to be, his POVs were pretty asshole-ish, especially in the first few chapters.

I didn’t think I’d finish the book, but the characters mellowed out enough for me to get through it. Overall it was just OK. 

Pros: 
-Banter was pretty good starting at about the halfway point
-No huge misunderstanding which I appreciate and I feel like is common in the asshole with a heart of gold type books 

Cons:
-The body image thing got to be a little much for me- and I get it I really do, but I guess I didn’t connect with it the way it was intended. Both characters were just so focused on her body. 
-Lots of like unlikeable malicious side characters.

I cannot wait to read the second book in this series because I started this book knowing the premise of the story and with slight spoilers yet it still managed to blow me away. I was happy to see the inclusivity in this book (plus size fmc and mental health awareness) and how it could show the positive and negative aspects that affect the mc’s and well as how they overcome their insecurities together and for each other. I just love how good Stevie and Zanders good together because they make the cutest couple :)
