Not great. Had high hopes, as I loved "Olive Kittredge", but I just had nothing but contempt for virtually every single character in this story (minus the little daughters) and was just relived whenn it was over. Lovely writing though.

A wonderfully written story of healing, community, forgiveness and family that is set in the 1950's.

A gentle reminder that healing from grief comes not from inner strength or fortitude, but from the loving support of others and of God. "Where there are people there is always the hope of love."
