This book isn’t bad. It’s just missing that wow factor that pulls me in and makes me want to just sit and read. I feel like it started slow and just never picked up all the way. Other than that it had all the other components needed in a good read. Maybe it has more to do with me than the book. I do look forward to reading more from this author.

I voluntarily read an early copy.

This was such a hyped and anticipated book and I enjoyed it so much. I loved the chemistry and the slow burn between Georgina and Sebastian. The blurb claims he was a bad boy, but don’t be fooled. He was a great guy who was just closed off a bit to relationships.
There were a couple small things that I was annoyed with. I don’t want to give spoilers so hopefully this is vague enough, but how much she refers to her ex... she talks about him and compares to him too much. It made me uncomfortable... the others would be spoilers so I won’t say.
Both of them did a lot of growing through the course of the book. Georgina is a girl who is haunted by the way he ex made her feel about herself but is able to draw the line when it comes to her career. When she goes to work she is a bad ass, take no prisoners business woman. Sebastian is a guy who is trying to overcome some bad press and declining business in his magazine. He dates only high maintenance women so he doesn’t have to get attached. By the end, they are changing in some really great ways, mostly due to each other.
I have to say I loved the dog aspect of this book. It portrayed how a dog owner would actually act and be, responsibilities and all. Bruno was one of my favorite characters... him and Justin! Justin was definitely my absolute favorite!!!!!!! He was in a way, a puppy dog himself.
This book had me cracking up in some places, pretty much all including Justin! The part with Justin coming out of the elevator with Bruno and the high heel made me almost cry laughing!!! If you read it, you’ll get it!!
I recommend this is you want a good office romance or a enemies to lovers. Such a great book, like EVERYTHING from her!

The story that is about battle of sexes promising fun and flirty banter. But i can not connect with any of the character nor the plot.
I think the character is childish.

What makes me swoon? Oh easy, firstly it is Jessica Hawkins because she is my everything in an author but secondly, my favorite trope 'Enemies to Lovers' because why not? It is one of the best tension filled juicy goodness ever. Mix that with a little bit of office authority figure romance, yep, I am game - sign me up!

I will say going into this, I know this was a different than previous novels by Hawkins, at least from what I have heard, and I can definitely confirm it, but nothing in a bad way for sure. Something in the Way absolutely shattered my world, Slip of the Tongue stole my heart, and The Cityscape Series took my breath away, honestly her writing style to me is beyond sublime, I love everything she brings to the table. And one thing she always has in common with majority of these is the emotional grips, the twists and turns are just crippling. Right Where I Want You was definitely lighter, it was fun. There was just a different edge to the writing style and I personally enjoyed it a lot, I hope Hawkins continues to do this more and more, though I do love the earth shake feels.

What made this more lighter, or more fun per say was definitely the characters. Sebastian and Georgina (or George) were just a different breed of entertainment. There was a capitalization on the office tension between these two that was both enjoyable and melt off your seat good. The banter was positively delicious foreplay and when I wasn't laughing I was swooning.

I like the inferiority then to the badassary mixture of Georgina. George is fierce yet her self esteem issues was beyond enduring. I know, surprising right? Normally I would shun these types of females but I couldn't help but fawn over her reliability, the absolute beauty of George was just amazing. Something that I have always come to admire about Hawkins writing style is the fact that on some level, her female leads always have some type of essence that gives the reader the ability sympathize or hell, even empathize towards their personality, their desires, just everything. George definitely encompasses this, she holds so much depth, the complexity of her was simply phenomenal, she was absolutely untouchable. I connected with her on such an emotional level it just took my breath away to read her growth, especially when Sebastian threw everything into the mud.

And speaking of Sebastian, oh my lanta. Talk about new book boyfriend delicious. He was somewhat of a mystery to me - honestly, I thought I had him pegged from the start, oh boy was I wrong. He was definitely not the typical playboy, hunk of man meat, though he was some scrumptious man meat, he was not the overly confident arrogant man-whore everyone portrays him as, which was refreshing. He surprised not only George with his charms, but me. Not only that, but the shenanigans of him and the buddies around the office, have I mentioned how much I love a good bromance? Seriously, sometimes it isn't always the romance that is the best part, though it was just as amazing, but the secondary filling between the mix with these characters was bottoms up hilarious.

I absolutely LOVED the sexual tension between George and Sebastian. It was like watching an on going cat and mouse game between the two, the sparks were melting off the pages. Between their mutual bickering, battling for dominance, flirtatious dialogue and even on some level (...because at some point in their relationship it happens) friendly respect just flows so easily with their chemistry. That office scene - Yes! The Bar Scene - oh my stars! And that Baseball scene - Hilarious! They were just perfection.

My only lack luster was the fact that I had hoped for more of that office tension, but alas I can't fault my own dirty dreams onto every book I read, right? Maybe the next one. Seriously though I overall love all things Jessica Hawkins. This was definitely a lighter tone than her normal direction and I gotta say comrades, I loved it. I cannot say it enough, I laughed until I cried, and swooned until I had to fan myself! It was great.

I liked this, there was alot of back and forth though on "should we or shouldnt we" and that got a little tiring for me. Still a nice office romance! The spice was low, but was hot!
