Ich habe das Buch nach einigen Seiten abgebrochen. Ich mag E-Mail Roman eigentlich ganz gerne, aber das hier war einfach zu Realitätsfremd.

How I loved listening to this book! I adore Meg Cabot and I don't normally dig an author who is such a prolific writer as she is. She has something like ten series and multiple books to her name, but each one is fresh and unique.
BOY NEXT DOOR is a romantic comedy mystery told not in dialogue between people, rather it's told via emails between the various characters. Barbara Rosenblatt is the perfect narrator for this book. Each character had a distinct voice and I loved and loathed depending who was 'talking'.
I know drivers passing by my car must have thought I was a bit of a lunatic if they saw me laughing while listening. I was outright guffawing a lot of the time.
LOVED this book!!

Sometimes a good ol nostalgic read hits the spot. Sweet, goofy, plus it’s Meg Cabot so will always have a place in my heart.

Cute and funny. I wish there was a movie though so I could see the whole story and not just the emails. I read it in one day. The main characters are cute and believable and the side ones are hilarious. There are so minor twists but nothing huge. Perfect beach read.

This book was great! The whole thing was done in email format and at first it was a little distracting but then once I got into the story it actually was a great concept. It was hilarious! I love all the antics and the story and how the two main characters Mel and John are trying to have a realationship but all of their friends, family and coworkers get involved in their relationship!

Very sweet story. My only real criticism is that there are no dates on any of the communications which make it difficult to gauge how much time is passing. Characters will mention how long ago events happened and it feels like the numbers come out of thin air.

Fun, cute , entertaining.

But I still don’t like reading a novel based entirely on emails.
