This was a fantastic read! I loved the be careful what you wish for trope and enjoyed watching the small town unravel.

This book was a ride! I loved the concept and thought it was so unique. I've never read anything like this before. I also enjoyed the commentary about how animalistic human beings can be and how quickly everything can slip into chaos. I did enjoy this for the most part. My only complaint was that it was too long. This book could have been half the size and still have the same impact. I also got some of the characters confused as well. I also wasn't a fan of most of the characters, so I didn't really connect with that aspect of the book. But even with some of the problems I had with this book, I still had a fun time and it kept my interest through most of the book. Definitely one of his more intriguing books.

so good! started out thinking the book was going to be so cute and sweet (guess i forgot who stephen king is) and was fascinated that everyone saw his eyes with a completely different color. then he started to get creepy and all of a sudden we read in detail how hugh killed netties dog?! anyways, such a good book. read the whole thing in less than two days while working 12.5 hours both of those days, so if you can’t tell i couldn’t put this thing down.

Almost 4 stars, but audio quality was really distracting. Especially the weird music interludes at the ends of chapters.
