This is my second Malko Linge book. I picked it because I liked the first one. Both of these are spy vs. spy books with the US vs. Russia post Cold War. At 274 pages this is a very quick read. The writing is easy to read and follow. These are not deep or intellectual books. Rather they are fast action spy books with sex, spying and violence. There are 200 books in this series (1965-2013) which gives you an idea of how detailed, in depth or how much time the author spent on each. That's not a dig against the books since even a quickly written book can be satisfying or fun to read.

I didn't give this book 5 stars because I thought the plot was a bit weak and the ending was too simple. This book was mostly action (and gratuitous sex) with just a marginal amount of spying. Overall, I enjoyed it and would read another.

I got this book free as a review copy.
