Songs of Loss by Nicole Bailey is book three in the Siren's Call series. I always fly through Nicole's books, because her characters are always so compelling and lovable.

We pick up with the gang as they try to figure out the prophecy that involves elementals and their Atallas. Although the plot continues in this book, it's mostly character focused, giving us more insight into the relationships of Shaan and Lennox, and Lira and Sai. Lennox had so much growth this book! My poor baby is finally figuring out that he isn't worthless. Shaan finally got out of his own way and set his ego aside. Now Sai has to catch up with the rest of the group not hating Lennox.

I was so happy for Luz in this book! No spoilers, but it's pretty emotional and a big boon for our main cast. I like the focus on Margo in this book as well. She's a good friend to Lira even if she is also prejudiced against the Prasanna.

That cliffhanger was rough! Although I didn't cry like the title made me think it would, I was still pretty shook. I don't know what I'm going to do when I finally finish this series.
