I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book...It takes a little bit to fully appreciate the story and it was engaging. I liked the characters - felt so bad for Margery, wanted to yell at Alice sometimes but that's what makes for a good book - strong emotions!

I haven't read much by Jojo Moyes but will be looking for more.

A god-awful story with complex female characters depicted in a time, I wish was further in our history, and full gone from this world. Left me crying.
