The previous books in the series were both fantastic, and this book may just be the best one yet. Henry was so likable and sweet, I warmed to him immediately. We got little snippets of him in previous books and I was more than ready to read his story when it came. Ivo took a bit more time to warm up to, as seems to be the trend with the series, but it was not long before he won me over as well. He was so intense and passionate when it came to Henry that it made me melt into a puddle of feels. Both MCs were just so desperate for each other you could almost feel their pining in the air as if it were a physical entity. The build up was just the right amount of frustrating and validating that I just ate it up. I love a bit of back and forth before getting to the main attraction and the author nailed it. I also loved the clever banter throughout the novel. Not only between Ivo and Henry, but also between the secondary characters as well (Dylan and Gabe’s characters are both great at this in particular). It's not often that a book can be so exceptionally witty that you actually laugh out loud, but I am finding that this author can do that every time. I am sad to see the end of this series, but I can't wait to see all of what Ms. Morton has to offer. I would very highly recommend this series to anyone and everyone.

One star extra, after several relistenings.

In this novel LM skips her standard characters, which is nice. I did not recognize Henry as we saw him in the previous novels. For the story, I had to listen several times to appreciate it. I found a lot of it did not make sense, but a lot of explanatory facts are easy to miss in an audiobook, so I eventually heard all the reasoning behind the plot. Except the way they stayed apart for decades. That was unrealistic.

Not my favourite of this series, but still a fun read. The sex scenes in this one are a bit more kinky than the pervious two books.

Ex step brothers, lawyer Henry and photo journalist Ivo, finally admit their love.  Excellent tension.  Step brothers romance / friends to lovers.  PTSD rep.

Henry Ashworth and Ivo Robinson met as stepbrothers and became best friends and partners in crime against their parents. Ivo, a photojournalist, comes home to the home they inherited together from Henry's father (not out of the goodness of his heart) having survived a roadside bomb and being shot. He's suffering from PTSD and grounded by his agent while he recovers. Henry gets him painting again.
Henry has loved Ivo for years, but doesn't want to make a move because he doesn't want to lose him as a friend. His friends set him up on dates, hoping to get Ivo to make a move on Henry. He does, but Henry thinks it's just sex. And what happens when Ivo goes back to photojournalism? How is Henry going to handle that? He could be killed.
I liked both Henry and Ivo, though Henry was a bit insecure and Ivo was a bit reckless. But that made them a real couple.
I have to say, though, that my favorite character in the whole series is Dylan. There's a hilarious scene with Henry and Dylan in this book. Gabe is great in it, too.

These two cracked me up because they had literal heart eyes every time they talked to each other and had no idea the other one was pining at the same time. More than once, they told the other that they were their home. Totes platonic, bro.

Ivo's jealousy every time Henry had a date was hilarious. Eventually he just showed up to one of the dates and something super platonic happened under that restaurant table as well.

Ivo has a dangerous job and Henry is terrified but unwilling to ask him to stop. He didn't feel it was his place to ask when he was the only human on earth who could have asked. I thought they were sweet together. They were thoughtful and surprisingly honest with each other despite how long it took to get their acts together.

Spread your wings.

This series is so good. We're down to the unrequited love between Henry and Ivo.

Ivo has spent his years filled with wanderlust, trying to take up the journey that his father started before his untimely passing. Henry, still a friend, is left behind, never knowing if he'll return home in one piece.

In which Gabe learns to hug and other shenanigans take place.

I'd definitely recommend this to a friend or six.
