I have no words for this story. It was everything I never knew I wanted. I had the adversarial enemies to lovers feel that I love when Rhys begins as Bridget's new bodyguard. Bridget doesn't want to hate him but when he tries to crack down on her freedom she just wants to provoke him. As a princess who is second in line to the throne she already has limited freedom, so she rebels whenever she can. Until a threat leaves her vulnerable. She is willing to play by his rules for more freedom. Their closeness leads to them learning more about each other, and the attraction builds.

However when her brother essentially gives up his chance at the crown by marrying for love, she finds herself in the same position. Do her duty or follow her heart. She moves back home to take her place as next in line, however she is required to marry, and with her grandfather's health taking a downward turn it may be sooner rather than later.

While Rhys made it difficult for her to date when she wasn't next in line, he makes it impossible now. Claiming her for himself. Claim her he did, over and over again.

Rules are rules, and someone in the palace is working against them. With their secrets spilled Bridget has to make a choice.

This story is full of steam, including sex in a Gazebo and other inventive places to keep their secret. Lots of twists and turns and family secrets, a weasly Parliment member, and a suspicious cousin. You will never want this ride to end!

This made up for my dislike for Twisted Love. I ADORED this book so much 😍 this was my first bodyguard romance and it was so good. I loved Rhys and Bridget with my entire heart 🥰 the banter, the grumpy x sunshine dynamic, the slow burn, the character growth + depth this story had was incredible. And can we talk about the spice? Phewwww Ana Huang did not miss - the throne and crawl to me scene?! Ana girl, how did you come up with that?! 🥵 and of course, how can I forget my favourite girl group in a book?! I LOVED seeing my queens, I don't know something about the friendship group in this makes my heart feel so whole 🥰

Overall, this book has got me so hyped to continue the series - especially after how Twisted Games ended, I need to read Jules and Josh's story immediately, pls and thank you!

i’ve been in a slump recently , but dear god did this book take me right out of it. Rhys, there’s just something about you i can’t get enough of, ur addictive and no wonder bridget loves you.
this book was fast paced which was really good for me especially when i’ve been in a slump, and the characters development was amazing

love the way this book is split into 3 different parts where it’s the past present and future of the twisted universe building from twisted love. Bridget is a girlboss and i love her. confirming that in every royalty setting, the parliament is shitty.
