I loved this book, and while the two universes ended differently, they were both satisfying. There was no sense of "Oh, no! If she had just done...." It fits with my view of fate, that some things are just meant to be. While Hannah ends up with Ethan in one story, and Henry in the other, there are multiple events that seem to happen in either scenario.

I can't help but wonder if in the distant future of one version, Hannah loses Henry and still ends up with Ethan. But having experienced this, she would still have been fulfilled by her time with Henry.

In either scenario, the same people pop up, and their fates are still somewhat entwined, no matter which direction they go. I can see a sequel in which both versions end up going the other way, but hopefully in a manner which continues to be as heart warming as this was throughout.

Aside from romance contemporary, I think this is my first step into lighter contemporary fiction... and ultimately the spiral into more books like it!

This book is the ultimate 'what if..?' What if you went home with your highschool sweetheart? What if you didn't? This book follows two potential timelines where the main character could have sought out very different passions in her life. Go back to the comfortable arms of someone you used to love very much and see how that version of your life could go, or move on and discover what else there is out there.

I loved this book because there is a sense of finality to both stories. It was very 'Black Mirror'-esque to see how one's life could have turned out, especially because both endings are very similar with only slightly tweaked moments and people. It was a little trippy and definitely caused me some deeper, introspective moments while I thought about my own life and how small decisions have completely veered it into unexpected directions.
