I would never have chosen this book to read myself, nor would I ever have found this book except this was our chosen text for my first year of uni. We now have to go through and dissect the book and it has led me to some great ideas that I can share with my son.
What a lovely book about ecological exploration. Teaching a child, but at the same time letting the child teach you. This book is great for all parents, educators and anyone that works with children.

This book is so lovely. I wept more than once while reading. I would recommend to anyone, especially those of us lucky enough to spend our days with young children.

I love this book and use it with teachers of young children. Just today the service berries are ripe, and our teachers and children are out, near the Charles river, picking them and competing with the blue jays and starlings. I recommend this books to parents, too, who want their child to be love the earth and do good work to support it and aren't sure how to do that best.
