Hec. Tic. Really good with some sad turns of events.

A page-turner stand alone thriller. It could've been 5 stars if wasn't for the poor conclusion. I was pretty pissed and needed to walk it off before I gave it an emotional 3 stars

Started off great, but the last chapter was kind of dumb.

I enjoyed this story. I was at the end of my seat when the two children were trying to get home safely but where being presued by killers. The killers were not bumbling guys but were focus, well organised and cruel. The hero was not the typical stereo type. He was older man shaped by unimaginable grief but with a solid character. I love this book.

I read this for my local library book club. It wasn't a mystery who the bad guys were the kids just had to keep hidden and survive. The action moved at a quick enough pace after a slightly sluggish start. I haven't read another by Box and was thinking of adding another to my TBR to try but that ending!
