It was so rushed, it was laughable at times. Good god what a train wreck

Hard to put down

I started this book last night and I only put it down because I had to fall asleep. Not your typical age gap book and I loved every single second. I can only give 5 stars but I wish I could give more.

Hmmmmm

I like taboo, especially this trope BUT it fell flat because the author put the MMC in this state of ‘this is wrong’

If you’re going to do taboo don’t have your main characters feeling like it’s wrong

Completely throws off the feel

Um, this wasn't a bad book. . .but it was not for me and it isn't one I would recommend to people I like. I listened to the audiobook and the narrators were amazing, but if I was reading the physical copy I would have DNF'd with the first, "Call me Daddy." *barf* Something about that kind of role play scenario gives me the ick.

Other than that, the drama was soap opera worthy. Because it was some DRAMA!

Two wrongs, two stars.

It was better and more emotional than I thought. The weird thing was that it could be very lighthearted, and then the next conversation would literally be Wren talking about taking her own life. Still, the book was quite enjoyable even thought it had its crazy moments. It really had some drama that genuinely made me gasp.

I hated Liam in the beginning, but I was happy that he got a happy ending as well. However, I could not understand how Wren put up with him considering all the things he said and did to her. I know he was an addict, I don’t think that excuses the way he behaved. His mentality also put me off a lot.

One thing that I was a little bit conflicted about what’s the relationship between Liam and Griffin. The reason for that is that I’m always on the side of prioritising the kid. But in this case, it wasn’t that accurate. The reasons for that are that Liam was genuinely horrible and used his dad, and needed help. He was also an adult which changes things. However, it was still a little hard to read because I still think that the child should be prioritised over a wife or a girlfriend just based on principles alone.

I really did like Bess and Donovan together and I was very happy that they got together. I wasn’t as invested in Charlie, but it was still nice to get a happy ending for him, too.

One thing that made the book a little bit hard to read was how it was written. One thing was the dialogue. A lot of the times it was not properly divided into paragraphs and it was confusing a lot of the times to understand who was talking. Many of the times, it would be a new paragraph, but the same person would still be talking, but it wasn’t clear that it was the same person.Another thing was that, especially in the beginning, there was a lot of scenes that just came very sudden and it felt very confusing with the twist and turns and sudden changes. That, however, improved the further I got into the book.
