The back of this book says that the author "explores the irony and poignancy of waging war during a season dedicated to peace on Earth." Unfortunately, I did not get that feeling. This felt more like an overly long academic paper that was started a week before its deadline when they had the whole semester to write it. I think this book is geared more towards the casual history fan rather than WWII buffs, but even still, there are far better resources on "the Bulge" out there than this.

Interesting, but kind of hard to read... it jumped around a lot and was often difficult to follow.
