I liked the book and was interested in the plot. At first I found it a little difficult to follow with the shifts between times and places, but when things started coming together I was more interested in the story. However, I was extremely disappointed by how contrived the ending was. Even in the book it talks about how there can only be one big coincidence per mystery novel, but by the end of this book, there were at least a dozen. I felt like the last 50 or so pages were a cheap letdown by an author who wanted things to work out a certain way but didn't have the time to make it happen properly.

I really wish I could have listened to this on audiobook, but there wasn’t one available on the Library app, so I took a long time to read it in my down time. It’s a very good story, I loved all the connections, twists and mystery.
I had a theory that made perfect sense and I congratulated myself for figuring it all out, and then I was wrong! Haha, she set the reader up, just like Alice explained in the formula for a mystery. The detective or character putting together the mystery must be just a bit slower than the reader, like Watson in the Sherlock Holmes novels.
It was really good. I feel like a final Chapter with a little more explanation and follow up were warranted. For such a long book, it ended too abruptly.

Read it!! It's slow because there are so many intricate pieces being woven together for an amazing and unpredictable ending!

Another good Kate Morton read. This one tied up almost too neatly, wrapped up with a nice, shiny bow, but I must admit it was satisfying!

Can't review this fairly - the audiobook narrator pushed all my buttons and drove me nuts. I only listen to audiobooks because of insomnia, and instead of soothing me to sleep, the lady's grating voice enraged me, making sleep unthinkable. Stubborn fool that I am, I listened to the whole damned book and am now seriously sleep deprived. Apart from that: predictable story, but perfectly nice if you like that sort of thing.

This book was a little difficult to get into at first with the multiple narrators and jumps back and forth in timeline. I ultimately really enjoyed the story but I was a little disappointed in the ending.
