The audiobook is the only way to go, as it is only a casual reading of the book with lots of asides, similar to a podcast.
The Google audiobook had several weird issues, though, with the quality of the sound being echo-y and fairly regular repeats of phrases.

The lighthearted incremental read I need right now. 2018 was not as terrible as I remember it being. Could just be perspective though

Somehow I found the podcast No Such Thing as a Fish a few months ago and gave it a listen. I was pretty much hooked on the 4 unusual facts that serve as the jumping off point for even more bizarre facts and British silliness. I listened to the entire catalog within a few weeks. They were promoting their books about the different years so when I was shopping for books online for my niece's birthday (Better World Books FTW!) I checked for one by the Fish folk. This one was in stock, so it came in the mail. You know, in light of 2020 and having read about the most bizarre happenings two years ago, 2018 was not so bad. I hope that they are able to find things to make me shake my head in amused amazement or amazed amusement from 2020 when it comes time to write that book.

I defenitely recommend the audiobook - it's like a 12 hour podcast. Do listen asap - you probably won't feel like it in 2020.

Absolutely brilliant. At work I've started a 'fact of the day' board in the kitchen, and 99% of what I write there is taken from this book.

I love this podcast, and I loved this book almost as much. These four people are very clever, very witty, and smart. The format was a little weird (alphabetical) to start with but the cross-references are solid. And funny. THIS is why I love trivia!

There's a lot about Trump in this edition. Very entertaining with many eyebrow raising stories.

Audiobook is the way to go, has the same vibe as the podcast, although the greater number of facts means there is less riffing on each fact.
