I loved this whole book right up until the end.
SpoilerI was mostly okay with the husbands showing up, but the implication that Scrap ends up with Briggs really annoyed me. As someone who desperately wants to be left alone, I identified with her so much, and I didn't really want her to end up with anyone.

All in all, this was a cozy little story about four very different women all coming together and learning about themselves and each other. It could have easily been a lot angstier, but it never quite went there, which I liked.

This was a lovely spring read. I enjoyed reading about all the ladies, and the effect of San Salvatore had on them. It was a little slow, and what was unnerving about it was that the character growth become clear only over time, and though seemed magical, also rang true. Love has a magic power indeed.

Beautiful book with beautiful scenery… read alongside Chopin’s The Awakening and it was a nice contrast. The ending did make me slightly uncomfortable, but I don’t think that was necessarily a bad thing. It really made you stop and think about what would happen once they returned home.

This book was wonderful, it felt like spring and being on holiday with people you love. I found each and every character loveable and compelling, mrs fisher was pretty annoying at some points tho. I want to go to Italy for a month and live in a castle and walk about and swim in the see.  I loved it and more importantly I love the person who gave it to me !!

DNF, I just stopped really caring how things turned out for the characters....it was a little boring in my opinion, a very charming relaxing read but I guess I needed something less relaxing!
