I read this and I just smile too much. I love it. I love the pairing. And the banter and the story. It makes me feel good and is why it’s 5 stars.

This was such a quick read — The only good part was their dynamic, but I zoned out a lot

The side characters randomly got sidelined with no closure on them, whether they were fake or not

The end plot just revolved around them sleeping together for the first time and it got v boring and repetivte, and the two stars go towards their good communication and no rushed 80% breakup conflict, and him not being a sleezebag

I'm pretty sure I've decided that Sara Ney can do no wrong. She writes sweet, sexy, funny romances. I love the characters. The fact that there isn't necessarily a huge tragedy or horrible back story is really nice sometimes. As much as I do enjoy those stories, sometimes it is just nice to sit back and read and enjoy a sweet love story. Two characters that become friends and that turns into more. No cheating, no unrealistic jealousy over things that are just something a normal person would realize was the past. Families that were, well, normal. In fact I loved Rowdy's mom, a romance writer. And his dad was funny too. Especially when he was trying to give Rowdy the safe sex talk. I definitely feel like the characters were normal in their nervousness about who would be the first to actually use the "L" word. This was also a very quick read. If this was summer and school was out, I'm pretty sure I'd have stayed up reading one night until I finished it. As it was, I did stay up later than I should have reading it. I'm also glad to be getting in on the series at the beginning, since I didn't get in at the beginning of the How to Date a Douchebag series. Of course I'm going back and reading all of those as I can, because they are so good. While that series was about wrestlers, so far this one is about a baseball player, probably my favorite type of athlete.

I'm also SOOOOOOOO excited at the chance to get to meet the author in July at the big Book Bonanza Convention in Denver, Colorado. So to wrap it up, if you like to laugh, enjoy saying "awwwww" at sweet romance, appreciate a book you can't put down, and love to get the tingles in your own lady parts from sexy scenes, this is the next book for you.

i love sara ney for not adding unnecessary drama in this!!!! h2gkmo!!!! unfortunately even though i couldn’t put this book down: the parts supposed to be funny weren’t really funny ? also their texts...... was scarlett roleplaying??? when she wrote **like this** kdkdkd it was so funny but also VERY cringe-y.
sorry i’m annoying this was fun just wish i didn’t hate it when in the male pov chapters all the male character does is think about sex and tits lmao!

There’s something about this that prevented me from giving it a 4. But despite the average-ish rating, it’s something I would recommend.

Angst free, likeable characters, chemistry was fire, such a cute story.

One of the books where it’s more of a me problem than a story problem.

You know what this is just a good wholesome book. I thought it would be filled with endless amounts of drama or cliches, but it wasn't. This is simply a story about friendship and love. If I had to categorize this story I would say a slow burn. It wasn't overly sensual, but the relationship aspect took time to develop.

Nothing about this book really stands out, but it was still a nice read. I breezed through it that's how easy it was. I found myself smiling reading along because it was so innocently written. This does not mean there wasn't some steam because there was.

This was cute. If you like sweet romances this one is for you.

Cute!!!

I started Jock Row on a trip as an audiobook but feel in love with the first 2 books just as quickly. Cute!
