Honestly from the minute I started this book I fell in love. From following Maia on her search to find who she truly was and Izabela's beautifully written adventure. I just couldn't have asked for anything better and I was transported to so many world's each as well written as the next. It has also persuaded me to pursue my love of languages. I cannot wait to continue the journey in the following books.

I did not expect to like this book. I read it with some friends as a buddy read. I wasn't thrilled. I was totally wrong about it. I loved the story. I love the writing style. The plot. It drew me in from the first couple chapters. I almost gave it 5 stars, but I did not love the ending. I took a star away.

Full review on my blog: Bookish Love Affair.
Review copy from the Danish puublisher Cicero.

I cannot wait to read on with this series. There's a lot of characters to keep straight, but I assume the reast of her sisters will be more fleshed out in their own stories. I adored the main characters of this book and their developing relationships, but to be honest, I found the story in the past to take up too many pages compared to the story of today.
