Spoiler
I'm not exaggerating in the slightest when I saw that this was AMAZING. It was somehow even better than what I was expecting. So much happened that it's difficult to recount it all, but not a single moment was boring. This was so GRIPPING. There was the right amount of death - and it was emotional. The climax was absolutely phenomenal and is absolutely one of my favorite scenes out of anything - ever. I had to put the book down after at some points, but especially after realizing how Luke was going to defeat Kronos. When Percy gave him the knife, and he began to aim it at his arm - HOLY SHIT. INSANE. Wow, Luke was a crazy character. I'm still not sure how I feel about him. I will admit that I do find Percy and Annabeth to be a bit boring at times (though I definitely still like them), but Luke Castellan was an absolutely thrilling antagonist. Great character. I loved the sickly combination of a sympathetic "villain" with one who is completely evil and irredeemable. It was a nice addition. I'd say that out of all the characters, Luke and Nico were probably my favorite ones to follow just because of how intriguing and different they are. Hades was also great in this book. Grover's still definitely one of my favorites, though. An absolutely fantastic read; great series overall.
