I'm pleased I finally got around to reading this book. It had been on my TBR list for a long time. I liked how the story was told from multiple characters' viewpoints. The ending was satisfying.

Oil your gears.

I loved this book and couldn’t put it down!! Reminded me of Riverdale - but I preferred these characters. I enjoyed getting to know them all as the book went on. I started to unravel the ending but I was still hooked till the end. Definitely worth a read

I tend to avoid YA books/books that revolve around teenagers or high schoolers but if it was made into a show, there really must be something good about this book so I went for it. There were some very cheesy, naive, childish parts but for the most part, I didn't find it to be super cringe-y. I also did not expect the climax of the book and who the "killer" turned out to be so bonus points. All the main characters changed and developed throughout the book so that was good to read as well. Saw some trailers for the TV show and I'm very put off by the old characters trying to play high schoolers and the differences from the book so probably won't watch.

This book was SO addicting! I read it in two days with all this free time on my hands! I had no idea it would end like that! Definitely a great read!

What happens in detention stays in detention…unless someone dies ☠️ This story is a twisty locked-room thriller that harkens to The Breakfast Club, except one teen doesn’t make it out of detention alive. Each of the four other students in the room has his/her own secrets that once revealed, shed light on the many motives for wanting their classmate gone.

I really enjoyed how all of the characters’ stories came together, and with the audiobook, each POV was read by a different narrator

I’m only giving this 2 stars cause I’ve figured the plot from the first chapter. And I didn’t find any of the characters interesting…

This was a wild ride. I didn't read the summary or anything before I read the book so I went in pretty blind except the content tags. I was pretty hooked right away since it started with a mystery in the first few pages. Then as everything escalated and unfolded, it was just a good story to follow along to. It felt like a pretty realistic thing that could happen with all the high school drama going on. I was never expecting the twists that came up. I actually thought the twist would be much different so I'm glad it wasn't what I was expecting. I've seen some other reviews talking about sexuality not being a good plot twist and I just want to say that it was never a plot twist. It was pretty obvious from the beginning and represented the situation pretty good. All the characters had depth and for a time I really thought any or all of them could be the culprit. Overall, I loved this book. My only critiques is on the last few pages (including the epilogue) because it was pretty dumb to try and add that drama right at the end just to have something to say in your epilogue. I truly wish the author had just left the ending alone without trying to tug at our heart strings right at the very very end. Other than that, it was lovely. I will be reading the next book and will try to watch the show.
