A very intriguing and quick story! It caught my interest from the beginning and I was interested to keep reading. I do feel like the build up to the turning point took a while and more action could have happened in the middle. I do also wish that some of the book series that Verity wrote was included to get a sense of how her stories were written to see if her true self was written in her books.
I did have a feeling that Jeremy was involved in Verity’s accident, and I believe the truth is a mix of the manuscript and the letter.

This book really creeped me out and the mystery of it all kept me going. Much more disturbing than I anticipated. I predicted some of it but was definitely surprised (and perplexed) by the ending. Authors: please STOP glorifying and/or downplaying abuse, SA, coercion, stalking... She glorifies and downplays SA, coercion, and other blurry/icky sexual behavior on multiple occasions throughout this book. Likely won't read another Colleen Hoover book because of that.

Wowww twisty, twisty, twisty. That’s really all I can even think because this … I don’t even know what to believe. Wild. Crazy. Last 50 got me.
Felt a lot like Rebecca. But creepier.

Enfermos, todos están bien jodidamente enfermos.

Fuera de eso, está entretenido para pasar el rato.

This book. I came into reading this book with a set of expectations and it definitey threw those for a loop.  The tension in the book was palpable to the point that I had to put it down multiple times because it became too much.  As a mother the scenes that were in the manuscript were horrifying and heartbreaking.  There were spicy scenes that lightened the mood a bit but then you'd remember that there was this tension always lurking in the background.  Fiction is a crazy place and this book does a great job of diving into the dichotomy that a writer, I'm sure has to live and work through.  Great read, but kinda f***ed me up.
