So this book I can give a 5 star, it was a lot better than the 1st. Logan "sigh" if only I could find me one of them :> Cant wait to see where the rest of the series goes.

Twist is a thrilling chase to find Silver’s tormentor before he can do more damage.

I liked the addition of Logan to Silver’s life. Adam, Justus, and Simon met her at a low point and were instrumental in getting her back on her feet. The relationship between Silver and these three men were complicated and not always easily definable, whereas Logan viewed her very differently.

Logan was super intense, volatile, and sometimes scary. He was possessive and protective about Silver, and it was a bit much at times. In fact, they were all hot-headed. They were very quick to “fight first, ask questions later”.

The action was fast-paced, nail-biting, and very tense. This is a brutal world that doesn’t shy away from violence. Silver found herself in several vulnerable situations. She managed to retain plenty of her humanity while embracing her new identity.

This book gave us more details about Mages and the Breed in general and I liked it more than the first one, which often happens with series like this. I can recommend this series if you like urban fantasy with magic and magical creatures. It is best to read them in order.

not as good as the first but i think that is to do with Logans arrival. I think there was too much effort put into this book to make the reader like him.

Months after moving to the mysterious city of Cognito, Silver is developing her gifts as a Mage and learning how to live under new laws. She is forced to give up her old life and live in secret among the humans. There is finally hope of leading an ordinary life . . .

Until Logan Cross walks into it.
I love the world Ms. Dark has created

I’m clearly a glutton for punishment. There’s a lot of bad in this book but there’s a few ok pieces that keep me coming back.

Some of the characters are likable and fun. Silver is a terrible dumb person. She’s literally so stupid. All of the other characters are men and they’re more dynamic than she is. Also the casual misogyny is so frustrating, all other women are described as whores or wearing lipstick makes Silver look easy. Give me a break. I wish I could replace her in the story with anyone else.

Wow this was Brilliant.. i can really see the story developing with new very interesting types of characters...

The world created is suspenseful and riveting, i love silver and her slow reluctance accepting Logan.

This book has silver facing her enemy head on with new drool worthy allies, Unfortunately she still seeks closure but have books galore yet to read so im sure some rocks will be upturned soon!

I do find Silvers acceptance of her situation a little weird... But then who am i to Judge its never happened to me... still great read!

I enjoyed this book quite a bit more than the first one. I still hate the audiobook narrator. She makes any exclamation sound like a whiny tantrum from a toddler. It's ear-splitting and makes the heroine sound dumber than she is (and that's saying something).

I found it unrealistic that Silver was able to operate undercover so suavely when she acts so dumb at all other times. I found it odd that a new love interest was introduced but surprisingly, I didn't mind it. I completely understand other's criticisms of Logan's character, but it worked for me.
