Can we talk about how communication and keeping people out of your business is a healthy recipe for a good relationship. This is a second chance romance that follows Emory and Draco. Emory is graduating from college, Draco has been drafted to the NBA. Both were in the trenches together since their teenage years. Draco messed up but was destined to get his girl back and wasn’t letting no peon come in between what they had. They communicated, both took accountability, apologized, mutually forgave each other, promised changed behavior and moved on. You can’t ask for anything healthier than that. It was whimsical, spicy and I loved it!

Spin the block .. this was a cute, light read with all the feels of a second chance romance. Emory and Drake first love, first heartbreak. Their break was a traumatic loss, but I loved to see them communicate and end up together. Drake wasn’t having it any other way ❤️
“I was forever his, and he was mine.” Emory ❤️

Cute read. The FMC annoyed me in the beginning because I felt like she wasn’t owning up to her part in the failed relationship. At the end of the day, stuff happens but we all have to take accountability for our actions

Given what the mmc’s were overcoming in their relationship, I feel like these characters needed a longer book to really work out their issues in a way that allowed them to grow individually and together.

At times, it felt like Draco was steamrolling over the issues between him and Emory so that they could just “skip” to their happily ever after without truly sitting with the weight of what they had been through and how his actions deeply impacted her trust in him/their relationship in the aftermath of their shared trauma.
