I read it purely for the sake of finishing it. This book brought nothing  new to the mafia romance genre

I’m sitting here trying to articulate why I have thought about this series nonstop for several days after reading, but I don’t think I can put it into words. Just go on the journey. There were things I didn’t love but they shouldn’t stop you from reading!
Ah another mafia alpha asshole. The best kind of alpha asshole. There’s some great spice here but be aware that this does contain dubious consent. Karma was starting to get on my nerves toward the end so let’s see where this goes.

Unfortunately, I found this ✨boring✨ and gratuitously repetitive. It’s a bit of a miracle that I did not DNF this.

It didn’t get interesting until 80% and even then, it left so much to be desired. Both Mika and Karma have such wordy inner monologues and a lot of the dialogue felt cheesy and a little juvenile. Everything Karma said and thought felt really childlike to me. I know she’s 19, but she came across significantly younger, reminding me of a 15/16 year old girl. The characters and their personalities just weren’t for me.

And for whatever reason, this author seems to think goth = sexually adventurous and diverse. Who’s gonna tell her?

Heavy overuse of:
omg
argh
ugh
alphahole
no way
how dare you
