I'm not completely sure how I feel about this book. I loved parts of it, but I also wasn't super into other parts. I think the rest of the books I would probably enjoy more since I believe it's just them traveling, but this first book seemed more of a dramatic chase around town.

The story is about a merchant who is traveling through a town at the beginning of a festival. The festival celebrates the wolf god of their particular harvest. As he passes through, he picks up a very unexpected hitchhiker who turns out to be the god (who is actually a goddess) of this particular harvest festival.

She is tired of being tied to one place and wants to travel the world and chose his cart to hop inside. This book follows the beginning of their adventures together.

There are some curse words, I'd still consider it to be a young adult level book. Has strong fantasy elements.
