Really great and funny book for anyone who has watched An Idiot Abroad or any other stuff with Karl Pilkington in it.

Liked all of Karl's parts and thought they were funny and classic Karl but I didn't find Ricky and Steve all that funny in book form, slightly too brutal I thought. It might come across differently listening to the actual podcasts.

Recommend An Idiot Abroad though it's super funny

I've listened to the podcast many times before, but it remains funny, even in written form.

It's worth noting that the excerpts are solely from their later podcasts, which can come across as quite contrived and weaker when compared to their earlier Xfm radio shows. However, this contrivance isn't as noticeable in written form, making it an enjoyable read.

A fun & simple read. Just what I need when I'm feeling a bit blergh. This Karl Pilkington book is basically just a typing up of the podcasts so I had heard all the stories before. Still, I do like a bit of Karl.

For Anyone who doesn’t have the time or patience to listen to Ricky Steve and Karl’s podcast this book sums up the podcast really well it has taken some of the funniest stories from the podcast and put them in a book!! Definitely recommend!

It's nothing new, most of the book is transcripts of their old conversations from the radio and podcasting days, with some drawings and sketches by Karl scattered around. Funny, but not much if you're already familiar with their shows.

Ricky: "So what're you saying??"
Karl: "I'm saying...I could eat a knob at night."
.
So first, I would like to preface this by saying that KARL PILKINGTON IS POSSIBLY IN THE LIST OF MY TOP 10 FAVORITE HUMANS. It's incredible, the way the man thinks.

Anyway, this is my 2nd book for the @philmythreadathon and 2nd book of his that I've read after the first Idiot Abroad some years ago. This one in particular contains transcripts from The Ricky Gervais show podcasts (with Stephen Merchant and Karl, of course), and some excerpts from Karl's diary. As expected, this book made me laugh out loud - the banter, the antics, Karl's weird logic and their reaction to it - especially when the prostate exam got mentioned again LOL.

All in all, it was a solid read, and if you need a good laugh then pick this book up. It's not "An Idiot Abroad", but it's still pretty good.

Love the podcast. Did I need a transcript of them? Not so much.
