I stayed up way too late because I absolutely had to finish this book. Wes made me swoon. Britta made me feel seen. Loved seeing a main plus size character not try to lose weight but rather find strength in her body. Obsessed with Britta and Wes. Will be thinking about them for months to come. The world needs more love stories like this.

The miscommunication stretched out longer than I’d like, but I appreciated the loveable characters and body diversity.

The first time I’ve ever read a miscommunication trope that was ACTUALLY miscommunication. It was good!!! I didn’t hate it!!! I love the way Williams writes her female characters and her romances. They just feel so fucking authentic. This couples went back and forth a little too much for me before getting together but still think this earned its 4.25

I truly enjoy this book! It was an easy, lighthearted read.

The characters seemed pretty realistic (given the plot). At times the author could have taken the “fairytale ending” route and chose the more reasonable consequence which added to the realism.

I loved reading about a fat MC who didn’t hate her body. The positivity didn’t feel forced either.

The first chapter didn’t immediately suck me in, but by chapter two I was hooked. Despite the predictability of some of the story’s outcomes, my reading experience wasn’t negatively impacted.

At times, the characters’ problems felt a bit repetitive. Certain phrases or communication seemed overused.

However, this book featured some of my favorite romance tropes, including slow burn, only one bed, and fake dating.

Really enjoyed the audiobook (Teddy Hamilton)! Overall it was cute, I liked the plus size representation and body positivity, but I was left a bit bored. A lot of the dialogue was cheesy and it dragged at parts.

I enjoyed it well enough. Bumped up the score a tad for the good body positivity/HAES attitude throughout the book.
