Where is the 🌶?! I was promised 🌶!!! Jk! This book was actually really interesting, I loved learning about king Midas and the MC who’s name I can’t remember… I like how she wasn’t fully submissive but she was a little naïve at times. This book is not as gross or explicit at people make it seem. There’s only one sex scene in the beginning and it’s used for world building. I’m excited for the next book!

2 stars. This book was hard to get through. The main character was extremely unlikeable. I wasn’t sure who the love interest was throughout the entire book, but I guess I will never find out because I can’t bear to read the rest of the series. The only character I enjoyed died. One star for the prose being pretty sometimes, and another star awarded for a cool concept. There were times I was so confused by certain lines of good writing that just floated in a sea of really terrible writing.  Unfortunately this book just fell really flat for me.
