4.0

Steve Berry and Phil Norman trace the origins of the many crisp flavours available in the UK. Crisps account for about 60% of the British snacks market. Each year retailers sell about 6.6bn packets. This takes half a million tonnes of potatoes (enough to fill Wembley Stadium) to feed this huge appetite.

The authors were given access to the archives, factories and warehouses of some of the leading crisp manufacturers. As a result they deliver a book packed full of fascinating historical research …

… and lots and lots of crisps.
