Spiralling. Hazy. Dense.
Lots of twists, enjoyed it very much. A little wordy at points. Â

it was, however, very stereotypical, specifically with it’s depiction of mental illness.Â
the ending felt a little too neat, with a couple plot-holes, but it was very fun overall.Â
as a fast-paced read, it isn’t necessarily a waste of time!Â
i’d only really recommend to people interested in ya thrillers.Â

the narrator has schizophrenia, and some of the depictions of this are stereotypical. drug abuse is a consistent part of the plot, but the description is brief. the racism is condemned, but it is not brief. the gaslighting is fairly obvious, but very detailed and uncomfortable. although the blood is brief, it feels quite intense. alcohol is consumed, although it is not a key focus.willowmae's review
