Aside from the main character this book had a lot of potential. But I felt like a lot of the choices she made were just so horribly stupid it made her unlovable as a character.
Like even if you thought someone could be framing you
…the choices she was making made her look awful. Straight dumb and you’re supposed to be a doctor ma’am? I felt like I was yelling at her the entire book. The overall storyline is actually good if you can get over the personality of the main character.

Freida McFadden writes in a way that keeps you hooked from page one. Even though Nora isn’t the most lovable character, you know she’s the way she is because of her childhood. I have to say the twist ruined everything that was built up for me, I actually laughed out loud at the reveal and the dialogue that followed. Regardless, I had an amazing time reading.

Freida McFadden is fast becoming one of my faves.  Her books, at least the ones I have read, have kept me interested from the first page.  In 'The Locked Door,'  Nora Davis is a surgeon, but she has a secret she hopes no one finds out.  The only problem, someone knows her secret.  Whoever it is is setting her up to take the wrap.  If she tells her secret, what will others think?  Who is setting her up?  I don't want to say anything else bc I want you to enjoy this book as much as I did.

😊 Happy Reading 😊

I'm realising I'm not a huge Freida fan - the writing is predictable and sometimes cringey. The occasional plot twists are interesting. I got this from Libby while waiting for some holds.

I did enjoy the format between past time and current, as well as the epilogue.
