Oh my gosh, there is a reason I will read every book by Freida. She is so good with the fast faced mystery/thrillers. The main character, Nora, is a very intelligent woman. She is a surgeon. Her father is also a well known serial killer. I feel like she worried a lot about being like him (but could be a tad bit like him) I had my suspicions about certain characters or how this was going to play out, but I was WAY off. I really didn’t see that coming.

Reading this book right after reading the coworker also by freida mcfadden wasn't the right choice. It is essentially the same plot line,

the main character is being blaned for murders of someone else and keeps finding things that would convict her of murders she did not convict. Only to find out someone set her up the whole time and wants revenge

I do enjoy Freida's writing style of going from the now to the present to fully set the scene and know why the main character is the way they are now.

This book was fantastic!! If not for the voice actor’s performance, I would have given this 5 stars. 

I found the voice actor’s voice to be quite whiny and nasal. I feel there could have been a bit more effort in vocally differentiating the characters during the performance. But again, just my opinion. 

The story was great! I was only slightly off on who I suspected the killer to be.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC! 

Me thinking I got a Freida book figured out is so laughable. I picked out a person in the beginning & halfway through & neither were it. This is a HIGHLY underrated Freida McFadden book. This one kept me from putting it down at almost every chapter, I felt like I just had to get to the bottom of it with all the twists & turns! I thought the more of her books I read, the easier it would be to pick out the culprit early on, jokes on me though!
