I really liked this story. The dark academia elements were spooky which I thoroughly enjoyed. Shadows, voices, unexplained disappearances during the Ink Moon really set the scene.
The spice between Corvina & Vad was hot. I loved their chemistry. It was insta love based on a prophecy from when Vad was a child.
That being said, there were still some things that fell short and some questions that still haven't been answered. Hoping the author will write more in this series to circle back to the remaining questions.

This book was a struggle to finish. The idea was interesting, but OMG the FMC was SOOO annoying! Please tell us one more time how mysterious and different you are for using skirts and shawls and reading tarot and using dark lipstick

I absolutely loved the main characters in this story! And can I just say.. heeeeeey, new book boyfriend! VAD, are you kidding me? Whew! Mysterious, grey streaked hair… yes please!
I also just found myself lost in the world of Gothikana. I have never read a book that has even touched this, it is so unique and I loved the dark academia vibes and the FRICKEN CASTLE!!!

As far as spicy goes… fine! I’ll take it!!
As far as plot goes… unfinished and very confusing? Lots of strings left untied that were addressed at the end with “and no one ever wanted to talk about it again❤️” which is sad because I genuinely wanted to know the spooky secrets/history behind Verenmore.
Audibly laughed at the plot twist and climax.
