Way better than the first volume, but I really am a lot more interested in what is happening outside of the school. So many pieces are coming together and so many more questions need to be answered.

Looking forward to picking up volume 3!

I really loved this and raced through it at almost at the speed of a Paper Girls volume!

I don't remember enjoying volume 1 as much, but everything seem to click here. Great diverse range of characters and their emotional interactions feel true. The action is solid and satisfyingly exciting, and there's enough mystery to keep me wanting to read on to find out what this is all about.

Special mention of the art by Michael Dialynas which might have been something I didn't enjoy in the first volume, but now I find it impressively conveys the wildly different settings, be it high school melodrama or the fantastical locales and monsters that Tynion's writing asks of him.

I'd give this 4&1/2 stars if GoodReads would let me. Off to find the next volume...
