I absolutely loved this book! I devoured it in one day. I'm still on the fence if I want to make it 5 stars, but this book had me plowing through it. Second Chance is not my favorite trope, but Ashley did it well!
I really liked Callie as a character. She was tough and wasn't going to let Wes push her around. She knew who she was and wasn't afraid to show everyone else. I do also like how she was still vulnerable at the same time. When she needed Wes, she let him do what he needed to. The longer the story dug in, the more she relied on him. Her development in her relationship felt natural and, although tense at times, was perfect for her.
And Wes, oh Wes. He was a bit rough to start, thinking he deserved everything. I can understand why he felt that way, given that Callie left. I really liked how despite his resentfulness to Callie, everyone else welcomed her home. Despite how much Wes tried to keep Callie at arms length, I really liked how they kept getting thrown together. The way he protected her and watched over her made me smile so much. The big gift he wanted to give her, too, literally made me swoon
This was my first book by Ashley Muñoz and I frickin' loved it! I can't wait to finish this series! She might be an auto-buy for me in the future!

If you are a fan of Sons of Anarchy then this series is for you. This book is a second chance romance that is filled with spice, lust and banter between the main characters. There is also a mystery going on that will last through out the first couple of books in the series. It is a must read!

The book was good. I just couldn’t understand why Wes was angry for all those years at Sky for leaving. I loved his loyalty, dedication, and love to her all those years apart.

Loved this!! It had exactly the
right amount of angst, intrigue,
with a dash of explosive chemistry.
The attraction between Callie and
Wes was undeniable. I couldn't put
it down, it was addictively oh so
good!!!! I can't wait to read the
next book in this series.

Callie grew up the daughter of a MC President. Her dad ran the club, and that club was his life. So much so, Callie always felt alone. As a child, to get away, she would go to a neighboring treehouse..this is how she met Wes. Wes would tell her stories and she would dream.
From that first night Wes saw Callie, he felt like he needed to protect here. He didn’t understand what when on at Callie’s house until he got older. Then one day he got in a fight protecting her, and he was accepted by Callie’s father. He took Wes under his wing, spent time with him, and acknowledged him..unlike his own father.
As the years went on, Wes and Callie were each other’s everything, until they weren’t. Wes started hanging out more with the MC, and the one thing Callie wanted in life was to get away from the MC life.
Fast forward many years, Callie has moved away and she is back in her hometown. It’s a difficult road for both Wes and Callie but it doesn’t take long to realize those feelings never went away.
Really good book. You Motorcycle Club (MC) readers, this is definitely for you. So entertaining, heartfelt, and never quite know what to expect. Good start to the series.
