well! it's finally over! if i wasn't so tired of this i might have enjoyed it more, because this volume does tie up all the loose ends and cleanly ends the series... but alas, here i am. i think the wicked + the divine started out strong and had such an interesting concept, but it got more convoluted and filled with weird character drama as it went on. and what a journey it was!

A wonderful ending to this series, emotional and satisfying in all ways.

The art is also fantastic as well

A satisfying conclusion to a flawed but overall interesting and beautifully illustrated series.

I think this was a good ending. It was like a balm to some of the OTT stuff in previous volumes.

This series was amazing! I picked up the second volume about 5 years ago on vacation (even though I thought I made sure it was the first edition!) and I am so glad that I decided to follow through with collecting and finally reading this series. It truly has it all - amazing writing, plotline and absolutely stunning art and design. The final 3 volumes of the main plotline (Volumes 6,7 & 9) left me wanting more, so of course I finished them all in on afternoon.

This has easily become a favorite of mine, and will be a series I recommend and re-read for many years to come!

Every remaining character had a fitting, cathartic end. Although I would have liked the series to last a little longer, to make certain plot points occur more gradually and naturally, the pacing was only a minor issue here. I didn't love every volume, but I liked or loved the majority, and I highly recommend this series.

Also, since I don't think I mentioned it in a previous review, this series is filled with diverse representation in race, gender, and sexuality. That was something I appreciated.
