I adore Jaku’s optimism, self criticism and hope for the future despite a cruel world.

A very fast paced book about Eddie's experiences as a Holocaust survivor. He faced so much trauma yet despite all of it, he still went on to lead a mostly happy and fulfilled life. I concur with his sentiments that hatred doesn't get us anywhere as a society and was in absolute awe of his ability to be such a kind-hearted person despite everything he went through. He faced the worst of humanity yet he remained hopeful for a better life. I highly recommend this book to everyone. It is very sad and difficult at times but worth the read. I think we all have much to learn from Eddie.
