Quite different from The Rook but still featuring Myfanwy Thomas, who is hilariously quirky. Sharing MainStage were Felicity and Odette, though interesting took a bit too much of the storyline. I loved the backstory and different supernatural abilities.There is a lot of body horror and gore so might be for everyone

Short thoughts: needed more Myfanwy, Odette too passive, Clements not distinctive enough. Good story, viewpoint was just spread a bit thin.

Also, plot depended on people not telling other people something that would answer many questions. Book's conflict could have been solved much sooner had people just shared information.

I kinda wanted more of Myfanwy's story so I think I was a bit let down when it wasn't the case. I didn't love this as much as the first book but it's still a good story.
