Everyone's favorite princess is back in the Kingdom Beyond to face down more monsters, fight her evil snake of biological father, and... win fabulous prizes?

Kiran doesn't know what to make of the weird dreams of her friend Neel's mother appearing in her bedroom, alternately burping up bees and spouting strange rhymes. Kiran hasn't heard from Neel, Lal or Mati since their adventure in the fall, but thanks to the power of technology she's starting to get caught up in the news of the Kingdom Beyond. Learning that her father, Sesha, is hosting a game show Who Wants to Be a Demon Slayer? that sparks a craze and draws Kiran back into her homeland. Can she save the day? And what happened to her friends? Find out!

A fabulous follow-up to The Serpent's Secret, readers will enjoy the wit, wisdom, and wild antics of the characters. You don't miss out on the puns, jokes, and abundance of monsters--and especially don't want to miss riding with the Pink-Sari Skateboarders (who are inspired in part by the greatest woman gang in the world, the Gulabi Gangm who wear pink saris and carry bamboo sticks to beat domestic abusers in their communities with.)!

An action packed adventure story based on Bangladeshi mythology. Perfect for those who like the Rick Riordan series...but to be honest I liked this one better.

Oh my Nokley! This was fantastic! I'm starting the next book this afternoon and, I noticed this last night, there's another first book that seems to be in the same universe (based on the series title) that just came out earlier this month! I can't wait and I know nothing about the book outside of the author, title, and series title! Hahaha!

Fabulous! Non-stop action, lots of cool Indian mythology, and a fantastic heroine!

It is amazing! Even though Kiran was a bit thick when it came to Neel. The Rokkush Queen’s redemption arc was amazing! Although I am kind of annoying Ai-Ma died. It is amazing overall, from the new characters like Naya, to the old friends like Mati. The only thing I think could be changed was maybe some kind of explanation of how Lalkamal was replaced with a ghost version of him, other than that it was amazing! And I can’t wait to get The Chaos Curse!

I love the idea of this book, but sometimes it's hard to read. Without a background history of the myths, it's hard to follow. Also, Kiran is so wishy-washy at times that it's painful. That being said, I am going to finish the series as I do enjoy the sort of fantasy world it encompasses.
