This is adorable. The art and the story are both perfect. It's also a good way to discuss identity with young children. "What do you do when you're a bear on the outside, but you feel like a bunny on the inside?"

Kind of adorable. Could be a good intro to trans stuff for very small children (and hesitant adults).

Adorable little picture book to open the conversation how sometimes people aren't the same on the inside as we look on the outside.
This book is a sweet way we're incorporating gender discussion with our little and their classmates.

Possibly a good one to use to generate discussion about differences.

Amazing story about acceptance. Sometimes your outsides don't match what you feel on the inside and it's all the more magic when someone else understands your struggle and help you through! #WNDB

Good on the subject of being who you are, and finding others who are unique. Also, yay Grizzlybun!

Hah the first time I read this, I didn't love it, but once again I read it and grizzlybun made my day, so I think I like this book a lot after all.
