Read in an ECSE classroom and each child had a prop. They loved it!

For: spooky fans; readers looking for a suspenseful book with rhythm.

Possible red flags: some may find too scary.

I have loved this for years, read it, acted it out with Early Years children and Higher Education students (and will be using it today with my undergraduates): full of rhythm and vitality, quirky opportunities for questions, this is a firm favourite.
