Enjoyed Jacquie D'Alessandro's story. The other two were DNF for me.

Three angels need to help their charges find true love before the new year so that they can earn their wings (if not, they have another hundred years of work ahead of them.) The three are connected by a book group that has just finished "A Christmas Carol" and that also plays into the stories. A LOT going on but a quick, fn read.
"Yesterday's Bride" by Bettina Kahn highlights the troubles of a young almost-widow (her fiance died before they were married) who still lives with her in-laws. She's resigned herself to living with them for the rest of her life. But then, her fiance's cousin comes home. Rafe has been living in India but has come back to see his family. The two are not attracted at first but, as the Christmas season progresses, they fall in love.
"Today's Longing" by Jacquie D'Alessandro has Addie in love with the man who is supposed to be proposing to her sister. She means to be selfless, stepping aside so her sister can be happy, but the man in question may have something to say about that.
"Tomorrow's Destiny" by Hope Tarr shows Fiona MacPherson, a bookseller, falling in love with the man who is kicking her out of the store. He's an albino, which is unusual for a romance. But gets miraculously healed at the end. Too weird.

The theme of a guardian angel helping each respective heroine to find her "one true love" is cute although to my mind, it's not really like "A Christmas Carol" as suggested in the story. I enjoyed the bookstore/book club setting.

Yesterday's Bride: was a good read other than the love scene which used a lot of cliched language and really took me out of the story.

Today's Longing: very good, the ending was maybe a little too neat.

Tomorrow's Destiny: Also very good, cliched characters (heroine with bi-colored eyes and a limp, albino hero) but Hope Tarr's writing made up for it.
