I really loved the full set of actors that this had. Neil Gaiman should narrate many many more audiobooks

Neil Gaiman never ceases to amaze me with what worlds he can create. This book made me laugh, cry, cringe and took me on a whole whirlwind of emotions. It is gory, horrific, twisted, yet in an odd sense reality even though it deals with dreams. Each episode takes you on the journey to how Morpheus is a great leader, yet merciless. I loved his journey, and how he rules the dream world!

There are so many characters that will stick with you throughout the entirety of this. Morpheus is a complex and flawed lord, yet he does what he needs to do to maintain order. Cain and Abel are tragic. Cain a murderer, Abel kind. I hated yet loved their story. I guess that means Neil Gaiman portrayed their story well. Rose Walker and Gilbert were my absolute favourites however. Their tale was captivating and I found myself enraptured in finding out what was going to happen next!

I recommend this book to anyone who loves what I can only describe as wonderfully horrific, gore and horror.

I completely loved this adaptation of “The Sandman”. This performance covered the first 3 volumes of the graphic novels in this series. It is my regret to not have picked these up when I collected comics. I shall now go & start acquiring these as I want to see where the story goes. The voice talent in the made it even better. If you enjoy Neil Gaiman’s work then grab this.
